1. Reach for the stars project. This project was birthed in the wake of learning about needy students who face financial constraints even in acquiring the most basic of stationery to attend school. We started out with simply donating already used text books and novels to children’s homes. Then I thought about the other thousands of children in Kiambu’s primary schools that could benefit from this project. I teamed up with the Chairlady of Red Cross Kiambu Chapter and Reach for the Stars project was born. We have visited several primary schools and early childhood development centres (ECDs) in Kiambu while achieving the following;
a) Donating shoes (rubber shoes-Tomy) to the needy pupils.
b) Donating sanitary towels to the senior female pupils.
c) Mentoring the pupils and giving motivational talks about education, vision, discipline, courage and hard work.
